Slingerland Drums
The Slingerland Drum Company
was founded by H.H. Slingerland in 1912, and is linked to the rich history of jazz drumming.
In 1935, the Radio King Drum Series were introduced,
and were Slingerland Drum's flagship snare drums and drum sets until 1957. However, they briefly disappeared
from the product line. Between 1960 and 1962, the Radio Kings Drums were reintroduced and remain the
premier drum line for the Slingerland Drum Company.
Through
the 70s and 80s, the Slingerland Drum Company lost its footing, and in the late 80s, the company closed. But, in
the late 90's, the Slingerland name was revived by Gibson, and the Slingerland Drums are once again in production.
